Does the library provide wireless access?

Yes and printing is available at all computers. Black and white pages are 15¢ each; color pages are 35¢ each. Wireless printing is available as well. See our Print from Anywhere page.

What is my PIN number?

Try last 4 digits of your telephone number. If that doesn’t work call us to reset your pin.

Are there computers for the public to use?
Yes, the use of the public access computers is on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a limit search time to 30 minutes, with a total limit of 3 hours per day. To use the computers a patron must:

  • Refrain from illegal or unethical use of the Internet
  • Respect the privacy of others
  • Do not add, delete, or modify the installed hardware or software in any way.
  • Display of sexually explicit graphics is inappropriate for a public and open environment and is prohibited.
  • There is a $.15 per page charge for printing in b/w and a $.35 per page charge for color.

If a patron knowingly abuses, misuses or engages in any use of computer equipment or software not authorized by the library, or deliberately introduces a computer virus, the patron will be prohibited from using this service, and subject to loss of library privileges and criminal prosecution. Any illegal activity involving the use of the Library’s computers, including the internet, will be subject to prosecution by the appropriate authorities.

How to reserve a PC?

  • Internet users must have a valid WLS card.
  • Users who don’t have a WLS card or whose card won’t work must show ID to the librarian and obtain a guest pass.

Is there a copier in the library?

Yes. You can copy at our printer/scanner/copier. Black and white copies are 15¢ and color copies are 35¢ per page. You can feed pages and collate and copy front to back. In addition, there is an option to scan to a flash drive for 10¢ per page.

Does the library have a public fax machine?
Yes. The cost for a fax is $1 the first page and each additional page is 50 cents each.

Does the library accept donations?

The Friends of the Library will be accepting book donations the 1st-5th of every month.

Are museum passes available at the library?

The library lends museum passes to John C. Hart Memorial Library cardholders. CLICK HERE for a list of museums and for pass details.  You may reserve a pass by calling or stopping by the reference desk.

Where can I return my materials?

In addition to returning them to the library, (our book drop is open when we are closed), books can be returned at a library book drop at Yorktown Town Hall 363 Underhill Ave, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. All materials with the exception of interloans,(books we have borrowed for you from colleges and out of county library), may be returned at any public library in Westchester County.
