BOUNCING BABIES…rhymes and playtime for all lap-sitting babies with caregiver. No minimum age. Fridays at 1:30 PM, March 9 - May 4. (No class 4/6) Register.
MOVERS & SHAKERS…active babies up to 18 months with caregiver. Wednesdays at 10:15 AM, March 7 - May 2. (No class 4/4) Register.
MOTHER GOOSE TIME…18 months to 2½ year olds with caregiver. Mondays at 10:15 & 11:00, March 5 - April 30. (no class 4/2) Register.
TODDLER TIME… 2½-3½ year olds with caregiver. Mondays at 1:30 PM, March 5 - April 30. (no class 4/2) Wednesdays at 1:30 PM, March 7 - May 2. (no class 4/4.) Register for one.
TALES FOR TOTS…3½ to 5 year olds. Kindergartners welcome. Tuesdays at 10:15 AM and 1:15 PM, March 6 - May 1. (no class 4/3) Register.
STORIES-TO-GO…kindergarten-2nd grade. Great stories and related crafts. Four Tuesdays at 4:00 PM, March 6-March 27. Register.
TEACHER-IN-THE-LIBRARY
Free homework help for elementary school students will again be available at our Teacher-in-the-Library Program. Hours are on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:45-7:45, except when schools are closed. No sign-up, just drop in during hours.

Participants for all WEEKLY programs will be chosen by lottery. Registration forms must be completed in the library between January 23 - 30. Please phone the library for results beginning February 2 (1:00 PM). Birth certificates are required for all preschool programs. Your child should be the appropriate age by the first date of the program. See registration dates for individual special programs.

Programs are open to children who are residents of Yorktown or Cortlandt. Hart Library cards are required at registration.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
MOTHER-DAUGHTER BOOK CLUB. . .this monthly discussion group on Sundays at 2:30 continues for girls grades 4-6 with an adult on 1/8, 2/12, 3/4, and April & May TBD. Please inquire about openings.
MUSIC & MOVEMENT with Lori Cohen. . .fun for children 2 ½ - 5 with caregivers. Tues. at 1:30 PM, 1/10, 1/17 & 1/24 and Weds. at 11:00 AM, 1/11, 1/18, 1/25. Sign up for one series. Registration begins 12/3.
ALL TOGETHER NOW. . .a drop-in storytime for preschoolers with siblings and caregivers. Three Wednesdays in February: 2/1, 2/8 & 2/15 at 1:30 PM. No registration.
HOME ALONE! . . for children in grades 4-6 who are alone for an occasional few minutes or regularly after school. Learn how to be responsible and safe in this lively workshop led by Joan Lloyd, Volunteer Ambulance Corps member. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children on Saturday, January 28 at 11:00 AM. Registration begins 12/3.
ART-CYCLE, RECYCLE. . .better our planet while having fun with art. Make some cool crafts from recycled materials! For grades 1-3, Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10:30 (snow date 2/11). This is a Girl Scout Silver Award project. Registration begins Jan. 7.
SWEET TREATS. . .for kindergartners-2nd grade. Celebrate Valentine's Day with yummy stories and make a sweet treat. Tuesday, Feb.14 at 4:00. Registration begins Saturday, January 7.
NO BONES ABOUT IT! Learn about invertebrates including octopi, worms & insects. Eat some "inverts" and make an insect project. Saturday, February 11 from 2:00-3:00 PM. For grades 3-6. Registration begins January 7.
VACATION EVENT! David Engel presents "PIRATE SCHOOL! with Billy Bones the (Generally) Good Pirate" on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2:00 PM for families with children ages 4 and up (no under 4s please). Tickets available on January 7.
SONGS FOR PLAYFUL CHILDREN! . . .drop in for some foot-stomping musical fun with the ever-popular Kurt Gallagher! For children ages 3-5 with caregivers and siblings. Series of 4 Thursdays, March 22, 29, April 12 & 19 from 1:30-2:10. Please present your Hart Library card at the Children's Desk for an admission ticket starting at 1:00 PM each afternoon.
EGG DECORATING. . .ages 3 and up with caregiver, Sat., March 24 with workshops at 10:30, 12:00 and 2:00 PM. Registration begins Saturday, March 3.
GRAND DAY. . .ages 3 and up with grandparents. Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 PM. Enjoy some musical fun with Graham Clarke and his instrument friends, Delores, Cinnamon, and Bluebelle. The entertain-ment will be followed by make-your-own-sundaes. Tickets available beginning Saturday, March 24. Either the child or grandparent should be a Yorktown or Cortlandt resident.
