Art at the Hart

NOVEMBER
In the Community Room

Artist's Reception - Saturday, November 11 from 2 - 4 pm
Janina Kulesa Aloi: Hens, Flowers and Shoes
As an artist, Janina's inner creative world finds expression through painting. She dedicates this show to her parents: her father, a successful commercial artist and her mother, a creative teacher. A Yorktown native, Janina brings her work here to the Hart Library; a place and town which has influenced and fostered her artistic endeavors, coming full circle.

DECEMBER
In the Community Room

Artists' Reception - Saturday, December 9 from 2 - 4 pm
Paintings by Students of Jeanne Demotses
The paintings in this exhibition are the work of students of Jeanne Demotses, who teaches Oil & Acrylic painting for the Yorktown Parks & Recreation Dept. Many of her students have been painting for several years and are accomplished artists, while some are brand new to painting. Yet their creativity is apparent, and though styles vary, the work displayed is of a uniformly high quality.

JANUARY
In the Community Room

Artists' Reception - Saturday, January 13 from 2 - 4 pm
Paintings by Seema K. Varma: The Color Gallery
Seema's passion to paint started with a quest to find a unique artwork for the cover page of her first book. It led to a collection of paintings that cover a variety of subjects and techniques all skillfully captured with beautiful acrylic colors on canvas. She is dedicating this exhibit to Saral Seva Trust and to all the other talented artists who share their passions with all of us.
