Our Reading to the Dogs program will continue through the summer. The dogs will be here on Tuesday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 29 with the first reading session beginning at 5:30 and the last session beginning at 6:15. Children entering grades 1-3 can read for a 10 minute session. Parents must come to the Library to fill out a permission slip and receive guidelines (for first time readers). First-time readers have preference before children who have read in the past. This program gives children the opportunity to interact with a dog through reading. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION FOR BOTH JULY DATES WILL BEGIN ON JULY 1. CHILDREN MAY SIGN UP FOR ONLY ONE JULY DATE.
For further information, call the Children's Room at 245-5262 ext. 247

The Hart Library's children's Summer Reading Club will begin on Saturday, June 21st. Children should keep a log of books they begin reading as of June 21. Once they have finished a book, they may come to the Library with their list of books and begin their search for the perfect "Spectacular Summer Science Fair" project.
This club is for all independent readers.
Our Read-To-Me Club, "In the Small, Small Pond," for non-readers, will also begin on Saturday, June 21. Call the Children's Room for further information, 245-5262, ext. 247
