GREEN MEADOWS FARM!

For children ages 5 and up. Saturday, September 24th at 2 pm. Meet live animals such as Stickers the Frog, Tickles the Hedgehog, and Crunchy the Bug! Discover ways that you can help animals by recycling and protecting the environment! This is a ticketed event. Present you valid Hart library card at the children's room desk beginning at 1:30 for a free ticket.

COLOR-GAMI: Color and Fold Your Way to Calm with Eleanor Kwei For Grades 5 Up Tuesday, September 27, 2016 @ 4:00-6:00 PM. Customize your origami folding sheets by coloring in beautiful designs and patterns, then follow the instructions to fold flowers, animals, and more. Copies of the book will be provided by the author. Pens, pencils, and markers will be provided by the library.

The Hart Library grounds are resplendent with an amazing diversity of trees! Children in grades 3-5 will join an educator from Teatown Lake Reservation to explore the different types of trees, learn to use a dichotomous key to identify different characteristics that make each tree unique, and create their own tree identification guide .

Please register your child once for all three programs Thursdays September 29 and October 20 at 4:00 and Saturday October 29 at 2:00. REGISTER ONLINE.

DATE CHANGE Wed., Nov. 16 @ 7 PM: "Paying for College" Presentation by former college counselor Joshua Marber, MS.Ed. for all high school students and their parents.

Teacher in the Library starts 9/19 and continues Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 4:45 - 7:30 on days when school is in session.Bring in your questions about school assignments

READ TO THERAPY DOGS!
For children in grades K - 5. Children can practice their 'read aloud' skills by reading stories to friendly canine friends in 15 minute increments! Thursdays September 22 and October 20 and November 10 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION begins Thursday, SEPTEMBER 15th at 10AM. CHILD/PARENT MUST HAVE VALID HART LIBRARY CARD.

Sunday hours resume in October. Beginning Oct.2 the library is open on Sundays from 12-4.

For children ages 3 and up with caregiver. Bring a pumpkin (NOT TOO BIG, NOT TOO SMALL) and we provide the decorations! Saturday, October 22 at 10:30AM, 11:30AM AND 1:00PM. REGISTER FOR ONE SESSION ONLY.
